Assassin's Creed PC
Assassin's Creed is a third-person action-adventure video game set during the Third Crusade of 1191 in four cities of The Holy Land: Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus, and Masyaf, the assassins' stronghold.
The game centers around the use of a machine, the "Animus," that allows the protagonist to view the genetic memories of his ancestors. Through the animus, the game's back story is revealed, involving an emerging struggle between the Knights Templar and the Assassins over an ancient artifact, called the "Piece of Eden."
The PC version of the game was released on April 8, 2008 to generally positive reviews, winning multiple awards at E3 in 2006. Its sequel, Assassin's Creed II, was released in November of 2009. The sequel, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, will be released in November, 2010 and will be the first in the series to offer a multiplayer mode.

Assassin's Creed PC Gameplay
During Assassin's Creed, players assume the role of Altair through the eyes of his descendant, Desmond Miles. Completing a series of assassinations ordered by the leader of the Assassins, Al Mualim, is the primary goal of the game. You will begin by traveling from the Brotherhood's headquarters in Masyaf, across the Holy Land Kingdom until you reach one of the gameplay locales: Jerusalem, Acre, or Damascus. Your first order of business upon reaching each city is to find the Brotherhood agent assigned to it.
Once located, the Brotherhood agent will provide some knowledge of your target as well as a safe haven. Prior to attempting each assassination, you must then collect additional intelligence about your target, or else you will fail. These intelligence missions include pickpocketing, eavesdropping and interrogation. Additional tasks will also need to be completed for informants and fellow assassins.
The game takes place in an open world environment. Numerous additional side quests are available that helps advance the game, including climbing the towers to map the city and saving its inhabitants from harassment by the city guards. Other side quests, such as killing miscellaneous Templars and collecting flags, do not advance the game at all.
After successful completion of a set of assassinations, your character is returned to Brotherhood headquarters for a new set of assassination targets, as well as your reward of a better weapon. Targets may be selected in random order of preference.
